- When you've

Takeoff
The power in this monster will get you accelerated in a hurry.
Give it full throttle and your tail will be up by the time you
reach 70 knots. Lift off at about 100 knots.
It's a real
thrill to go to spot view to watch the landing gear retract.
You can climb
like crazy - 4000 ft / minute. She handles wonderfully.
Again from
spot view, you can watch all of the control surfaces move.

Landing
Approach speed
on short final is about 120-130 knots here using full flaps.
Remember that
the F4U-5 Corsair is a taildragger so you'll want to set her
down on the mains, bleed off speed and she'll set right down
on the tail wheel.
