But first, you have to make a flight plan. Here's how simple it is to make your own flight plan.
| Run EZ-GPS Flight Planner, by clicking on its icon. |
 |
| You'll be greeted with this screen.
On the left size of the window you'll see a list of FS98 or CFS facilities. Simply select the facility and add it to your flight plan. For FS98 the facilities include airports, VORs or NDBs in your flight plan. You can also add your own waypoints to your flight plans. |
 |
| Here's a flight plan that we quickly made. It takes us from Chicago's Meigs Field to Kent County Int'l Airport next to the Abacus offices in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
The most direct route from Chicago to Grand Rapids would take us over Lake Michigan. For VFR flight we chose to take the long way around the southern shoreline of Lake Michigan and avoid an overwater route. |

The next time you fly your EZ-GPS-equipped plane, click on the SET BUTTON to load this flight plan. You'll see a dialog box that looks like this:
Click OK and the flight plan is ready to use. Now if you click on the EZ-GPS AP button, you'll be flying to your next waypoint automatically! Have a good flight. |
