A Look at the EZ-GPS Display
As it's name suggests, EZ-GPS is designed to be easy to use. You'll quickly become familiar with it if you take two minutes to study to buttons below. |
Autopilot Indicator - Lights up when the autopilot is engaged CDI - Inicates direction of current waypoint. If the moving triangle is to the left of the center, steer left to reach the waypoint; if it's to the right of center, steer right to reach the waypoint. Power On/Off - Activates (or deactive) the GPS |
Dest Display - Shows destination data on the display (see left). This data includes: Set Button - When you purchase EZ-GPS, your registration key will unlock the flight planner which you activate by pressing the Set Button. Click here to find out about flight planning on Page 4. Prev Dest - Press to revert to previous waypoint Next Dest - Press to select next waypoint Alarm On/Off - Press to activate the alarm (red light). The alarm is triggered when you are within 5 nm of the waypoint Autopilot On/Off - Press to activate the autopilot link for "hands free" navigation |
